Located in the Georgian part of the building with fantastic views over the garden. A truly unique setting  for holding informal meetings and afternoon tea.

In this room are classical landscapes and seascapes from the late 18th or early 19th Century, based on Claude’s Arch of Titus and the landing of Aeneas.

Queen Elizabeth Conference Room

Capacity: 25 – 70 people

Size: 100m2 (10.3 w, 9.7 l)

This is our largest conference room and can seat up to 70 delegates. Enjoying excellent views into our garden, and is fully equipped with AV equipment and air conditioning. 

The room is very flexible and can be set up in a variety of seating configurations, to suit a large number of meetings and events.

Named after Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, She became Patron of St Katharine’s in 1953 and remained so until her death in 2002.

Queen Matilda Room

Capacity: 6 – 12 people

Size: 25m2 (5.1 w, 4.9 l)

Located in the Georgian part of the building with fantastic views over the garden. A truly unique setting  for holding formal dinners or board meetings for up to 14 delegates.

Queen Matilda, wife of King Stephen, founded the Hospital of St Katharine by the Tower in 1147. She set up St Katharine’s with a Master, three Brethren, three Sisters and six poor clerks.

Ratcliffe

Capacity: 6 – 16 people

Size: 30m2 (4.7 w, 6.5 l)

It can host up to 16 delegates, and is fully equipped with AV equipment.

The room is located next to the Queen Elisabeth room  and can be set up in a variety of seating configurations, to suit a large number of meetings and seminars.

Named after the area of Ratcliffe, a former hamlet lying by the north bank of the River Thames between Shadwell and Limehouse.

Woodard Reading Room

Capacity: 1 – 4 people

Size: 11m2 (3.1 w, 3.6 l)

Located in Chapelside, a secluded space ideal for personal retreats and coaching sessions and as a writing room.

Named after Nathaniel Woodard, a Church of England priest, who founded 11 schools in England. His aim was to provide an education based on “sound principle and sound knowledge, firmly grounded in the Christian faith

St. John Groser Room

Capacity: 15 – 40 people

Size: 61m2 (7.0 w, 9.0 l)

This meeting room has natural daylight, with a skylight and direct access to the adjoining studio. The Studio, ideal as a break out space or as a  refreshments break area.  It can host up to 40 delegates, and is fully equipped with AV equipment and air conditioning. 

The room is very flexible and can be set up in a variety of seating configurations, to suit a large number of meetings and events.

Named  after social reformer, the Rev St John Groser who re-established the life of St Katharine’s here in 1948 to provide a retreat centre and community projects.

The room is very flexible and can be set up in a variety of seating configurations, to suit a large number of meetings and seminars.

Named after Queen Eleanor, who granted a new Charter to “the Hospital of St. Katharine” in 1273.

Queen Philippa Room

Capacity: 1 – 3 people

Located in Chapelside, a secluded space ideal for personal retreats and coaching sessions and as a writing room.

Named after Queen Philippa who drew up new regulations to shape St Katharine’s life in 1351. This included the numbers of Church Services, rules for dress, hair styles and the community’s behaviour.
