Peaceful London Retreats at The Royal Foundation of St Katharine
Situated in central London it is hard to imagine a more peaceful urban setting for group or individual London retreats. St. Katharine’s is an oasis in which to take time out from daily life for reflection, contemplation, or just to be. Our beautiful, historic Chapel is also available to use with interesting features representative of St Katharine’s past such as its misericords.
St Katharine’s has a rich history of hospitality and we look forward to welcoming you whether you wish to come for a day or to stay overnight. We have the rare privilege of being a few minutes walk from the river Thames in the East of London but still just moments from Limehouse DLR station. A wonderful chance to step out of the city but not to leave it.
New Residential Retreats for 2020
We are delighted to introduce a new program of led residential retreats in 2019. Come and stay at our Urban Oasis and find some space and inspiration.
On these days we will be led through a topic or reflection by a guest speaker. Facilitators include Malcolm Guite, Chris Chapman and Will Van der Hart. These days are very popular so early booking is recommended.
Cost: from £25 including morning coffee, a sandwich lunch, a cup of tea with cake and VAT.
Open Reflective days
We are opening our doors on the second Monday of each month so individuals can come and enjoy our urban oasis for their own quiet day. We cannot offer exclusive personal use of any room but there will always be space and a quiet corner for all our guests. The Open Reflective days usually run from 8am until 5pm but you are welcome to come and join us for as much of the day as your commitments allow.
Cost: £20 including morning coffee, a sandwich lunch, a cup of tea with cake and VAT.
