After a long break, we brought back our popular Yurt Feasts in September – and what a success it was! The first Yurt Feast back with Kiwi and Roo sold out in 24 hours! For those of you who are new to Yurt Feasts, this is where experienced chefs take over and run their own pop-up dinners in our beautiful Yurt Cafe.

Kiwi & Roo are the culprits for this sell out of our Yurt Feast. They are New Zealand born Fi Hannah (Kiwi) and Australian born Lara Wood (Roo), bringing the best of Antipodean (relating to Australia or New Zealand) cuisine to London. They love their Antipodean roots and always put a little of their story into their food through fresh and exciting menus, featuring bold flavours from their background.

The Antipodean cuisine experts also have credentials aplenty. Trained at Ballymaloe and Leiths, Fi and Lara have spent time gaining experience in kitchens across London including The Fat Duck, Ottolenghi, Violet, Spring Restaurant and The Ledbury.

It truly was a treat for those who attended the Yurt Feast in September and those feasting on the day were spoilt with a welcome drink, canapés, a number of small share plates as entreée, a main, a dessert and a few surprises! We already can’t wait for the next one on November 11th with Kiwi and Roo!

We are always on the lookout for more experienced chefs who would love to take charge of the Yurt for a night and show of their culinary skills – make sure to let us know of anyone you think would be great!
