Below are highlights of What’s On at the Precinct this week and a snap shot of what’s coming up in April.

The Front Room will not be on this Friday 14th April. The Yurt Cafe will be open if you would like to pop down for a coffee.

This Week

Tell Me How It Feels To Age Exhibition
Monday 10th April- Wednesday 3rd May
Designer and story capturer Alice Osborne has curated a new exhibition Tell Me How It Feels To Age. The exhibition is a curation of portraits next to stories from the older community. Tell Me How It Feels To Age will be an exhibition at the Precinct in the Community Hub from Monday 10th April- Wednesday 3rd May. You can visit the exhibition between 9-5pm, Monday-Sunday.

Board Game Night
Wednesday 12th April, 6:30-8:30pm
Board game night’s have seen a revival over the last few years. According to the Guardian board games are in their golden age! Join us for our monthly Board Game Night at the Yurt Cafe. Children are more than welcome but must bring an adult with them.

Bread and Butler
Wednesday 12th April, 6:30-8:30pm
Andy of Bread and Butler will be at the Yurt Cafe till 8:30pm selling his hand crafted delicious bread (we are not biased!). Pop in and by bread on your way home.

Knitting Circle
Thursday 13th April, 1-3pm
We are a group of knitters (crochet also welcome) who meet every Thursday. You are welcome to bring your own projects or join one of ours. All skill levels welcome.

Easter Weekend at the Yurt Cafe
Friday 14th-Monday 17th April
The Yurt Cafe will be open over the Easter weekend as normal and their brunch menu will be available every day till 3pm. If you visit the Yurt Cafe on Easter Sunday you might find a one of the Cafe’s bunny friends hiding amongst the flowers and coffee cups of the Cafe. If you find a Easter Bunny  please take a picture and show it to the Cafe staff. Coming Up 

Yurt Salon-Five Fiction Writer’s in a Yurt
Tuesday 18th April, 6:30-9:30pm
At this months Yurt Salon we’ll be welcoming five diverse writers of fiction to read from their latest novels and short stories. The lineup includes award winners, seasoned travellers and new talent from school for writing at Goldsmiths University. Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Book your tickets here

London Marathon at the Precinct
Sunday 23rd April
We will be hosting a bar and BBQ with performances from the Rock Choir and Seafoxes Girl Rock Group for the London Marathon. The Precinct is the ideal place to enjoy the Marathon as is passes us twice!

Mending With Pico
Thursday 27th April, 7-9pm
Instead of throwing away an item of clothing because it needs repair, bring it along to Mending with Pico. Isobel will be on hand to help and will have few bits and pieces available. All skill levels welcome.
